As mentioned in the first post on car accessories (part one), car accessories are handy, practical, and can greatly enhance your driving experience. Part one’s post focused on car stereos, head units, and power inverters. Power inverters allow one to charge or use various electronic devices within a car, by way of electrical outlet converters. Stereos give music and other audio listening while driving.
Today’s post follows a similar vein by focusing on the car accessories that are both deeply practical and enhance the driving experience. The practical focuses on rearview camera systems, while the enhancement focuses on car videos.
Rear-view Camera Systems
Similar to rear-view mirrors, rear-view cameras are designed to help the driver see objects behind the car, especially when the driver is backing up in reverse. The camera is often mounted on the rear of the car, on the trunk or near the license plate to maximize visibility and thus protection to the car and surrounding objects. The camera video in the car is often connected to a miniature LCD screen mounted on the dashboard of the car, so the driver can see the video feed of the rear-view camera.

Car videos are similar concepts of car audio: it is simply the ability to play video (movies, TV, or DVDs) in the car. Video screens are often mounted on the dashboard, ceiling, or into the driver’s or passenger’s chairs. Oftentimes, viewing the video on the dashboard screen is illegal because it distracts the driver from watching the road. Most times, video screens are installed in the latter half of the car so the passengers can watch movies or videos while on road trips.
